A-297 ai Daisy Background with Plaid and Wash Backgrounds
These are leftovers from yesterday’s A-296 kit with the elephants. I can’t believe we have so much that I had to start the mundane numbering of things. I’m thinking about starting a B series next. I liked this calm combination of muted, pastel teal with the tans, browns, and creams. I want to create a digital scrapbook page of some outdoor adventures and give them a muted/sepia/vintage vibe. This should fit the bill. This paper pack includes daisies on plaid, plaid flannel, and watercolor wash backgrounds in digital format.

A-296 ai Porcupine Clipart with Elephants and Daisies
Elephant and porcupine clipart with daisy and patchwork backgrounds in digital format.
I had a few spare moments to whip out some elephant and porcupine clipart today. I love the oil painting style patchwork background in neutral teals and browns; gives it all a hint of shabby-vintage. The daisy background paper is perfectly set against a soft, plaid blanket. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making this digital scrapbook kit. I tossed in a happy puppy because we know every elephant wants one.

Where do phoenix birds come from?
The concept of phoenixes originates from ancient mythology. Origins are strong in Egyptian, Greek, and Roman traditions. In Egyptian mythology, the Bennu bird shares similarities with the phoenix. It is famous for symbolizing renewal and rebirth. The Greek phoenix, known for its ability to rise from its ashes, appears in various ancient texts. Such texts include Herodotus’ “Histories” and Ovid’s “Metamorphoses.” Similarly, the Roman poet Ovid describes the phoenix in his work. He highlights its mythical ability to regenerate. These mythological accounts have contributed to the enduring fascination with phoenixes throughout history.
Here are four modern movies that feature phoenix birds:
- “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” (2007) – In the Harry Potter series, Fawkes is a phoenix belonging to Albus Dumbledore, known for its healing tears and fiery rebirth.
- “X-Men: The Last Stand” (2006) – Jean Grey transforms into the Phoenix, a powerful and destructive entity with immense psychic and telekinetic abilities.
- “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” (2018) – Although not explicitly featuring a phoenix, the character Dumbledore is associated with phoenix symbolism, particularly his connection with Fawkes.
- “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” (2019) – While not a central focus, the character of Maleficent is associated with bird imagery, including phoenix-like creatures that appear in the film’s fantastical world.
These movies showcase the enduring presence of phoenixes in contemporary popular culture.

I love how wishy-washy and forgiving watercolor style is. The Victorian clipart is plenty to sweeten up your pages. Purple and teal look fantastic together.

What’s up with Queen Victoria, her era, and all those froo froo frilly flowers?
The Victorian era’s fascination with floral patterns and decorations stemmed from various cultural, social, and technological factors. Firstly, during the Victorian era, there was a revival of interest in nature and botany, leading to a heightened appreciation for floral motifs in art and design (Rackham, 1980). Additionally, advancements in printing technology, such as the development of the chromolithography technique, made it easier and more affordable to produce intricate floral patterns on textiles and other decorative items (Hunter, 1984).
Moreover, the Victorian era was characterized by strict social norms and etiquette, and the use of floral decorations was often associated with notions of femininity, refinement, and domesticity (Holliday, 1999). Floral prints and motifs were used extensively in fashion, interior décor, and household items, reflecting the prevailing tastes and values of the time (Ashelford, 1996).
Furthermore, the Victorian era witnessed the rise of the Arts and Crafts movement, which emphasized handmade craftsmanship and naturalistic design elements (Greenhalgh, 1986). This movement encouraged the use of floral motifs inspired by the natural world, further popularizing floral patterns in Victorian aesthetics.
Overall, the Victorian era’s penchant for floral prints and decorations can be attributed to a combination of factors, including a renewed interest in nature, advancements in printing technology, societal norms, and artistic movements.

Those pastel chalk flowers are so soft and fun. Pretty. I think they’d be lovely on invitations. Blue and yellow is such a delightful color combination.
Blue and yellow together, especially if they are not bold shades, feel calming to me. Color therapy suggests colors influence emotions and well-being. For instance, blue can evoke calmness and tranquility. Yellow is believed to evoke feelings of joy, optimism, and mental clarity. It’s associated with boosting mood and energy levels. Color theory suggests each color corresponds to different energies, affecting physical and mental health positively or negatively.
Color therapy, also called chromotherapy, dates back to ancient civilizations like Egypt and Greece. It’s documented in texts such as “De Medicina” by Aulus Cornelius Celsus. These cultures believed colors could heal the body and mind. (Source: “Color Therapy” by Stephen Arroyo). They used colored light, stones, and dyes to treat ailments. The practice continues today, with modern applications in alternative medicine and holistic healing.
Here’s a list of color therapy colors and their associated meanings or health benefits:
- Red: Stimulates energy, vitality, and courage. It’s associated with increased circulation and physical strength. (Source: “Color Therapy” by Stephen Arroyo)
- Orange: Encourages enthusiasm, creativity, and emotional balance. It’s believed to aid digestion and stimulate the immune system.
- Yellow: Evokes joy, optimism, and mental clarity. It’s associated with boosting mood and energy levels.
- Green: Promotes balance, harmony, and growth. It’s believed to have a calming effect on the nervous system and promote healing.
- Blue: Inspires calmness, tranquility, and communication. It’s associated with reducing stress and promoting relaxation.
- Indigo: Stimulates intuition, insight, and spiritual awareness. It’s believed to enhance mental clarity and promote deep relaxation.
- Violet: Encourages inspiration, imagination, and spiritual enlightenment. It’s associated with stimulating creativity and promoting a sense of inner peace.
These interpretations are based on the principles of chromotherapy, which have been studied and documented in various sources on color therapy.
