When children come in from a cold day of making snowmen, it’s essential to help them warm up quickly. Prevent discomfort and potential health issues by stabilizing their body temperature. Start by removing wet clothing and outer layers to prevent heat loss and discomfort. Encourage them to change into warm, dry clothes. Include thermal layers and cozy socks and slippers.
Next, offer them a warm beverage like hot chocolate or herbal tea to help raise their body temperature and soothe their chilly bodies. Additionally, wrap them in a soft blanket. If you can, encourage them to sit by a warm fireplace or heater to further enhance their comfort and warmth.
