Granny oldie? How old? Well, pretty old. This was back when I was playing with Photoshop Elements at the very beginning. Actually, I’m kind of proud of these backgrounds. Texture ✓. Color ✓. Those stars blending with some dimension on the star background ✓. I mean, I literally had no idea how to design back then and somehow I did it anyway. If you’re feeling like something is impossible, just keep stepping forward. Learn, learn, learn. I was thrilled with giving away freebies. I still am. But back then it really served me well. Highlighting the magnificent work of other designers really gave me an eye for useful digi scrap that serves me well now.
oOOOooo… Here’s an oldie. It was before I was good with the design software so I hope you can pause to appreciate my newbie efforts. Probably created in 2011 or 2012. These metal stars are perfect for the edges of your photos and projects.

These should come in handy on a variety of projects. Medallion clipart will look fantastic on Americana themed projects. The metals will look good on vintage and steampunk projects. Think of it as a useful junk drawer for your digi scrap collection.
This is from way way back in the day when I’d enter a scrapbook challenge. I was always sad when the color swatch was garish. Now that I’m old I realize nothing is too garish if there is white between it. In fact, white saves a whole lot of things. This is not my favorite but we will keep it up because somebody will be searching for it. Chicken wire clipart is more popular than it should be.

Okay, yes. I’m actually enjoying Canva quite a bit. I’ve even been using it for work a little bit. I do pay the subscription price. Really, I consider it a guilty pleasure. If I were a for profit designer, Canva would be a huge game changer. Maybe when I grow up. I like the easy breezy make what I want when I want of Granny Enchanted right now. But I will have my eye on Canva. I chose it after watching videos comparing it to Midjourney. I’m sure Midjourney is great too. I just liked the functionality of Canva in the videos. Most little boys like ninjas, right? FB has filled my feed with ninjas lately. Get this, I’m learning Korean. It knows I’m learning Korean because it eavesdropped on a private learning Korean chat group of my friends. And somehow it made its way all around to ninjas. Not sure how it is bridging the gap to Japan. Probably because I liked the Korean travel stuff it popped up… then the China travel… then the tai chi… then the … ninjas. yeah, I could see how it got there, I guess. And, that’s how you have ninjas today. The skill, dedication, and grit it takes to succeed at martial arts are impressive. Wish I had ninja skills with my online privacy though. Alas, I guess many are in the exact same boat.
